final animation

Well I finish the final animation and not knowing how to use Final cut I exported a quicktime file that turns out too big. Well next time I'll just remember to check the settings. Now I just have to put together the demo reel and the portfolio.
I am so hitting the movies once school gets out.

Zoo stuff and story

Well I don't know how well of a study we needed to do when it came to the zoo animals. Also the animals were not moving around so much and most we couldn't even see them. But I did the best I could, the best one was the tiger, since one was pacing and the other was just laying there in front of us lounging around. I would have done better drawing the miniature goats but they were so cute that I was petting them too much and not enough drawing.

This is of a sheep, the one that I thought was kinda odd looking for a lama. I had a brain fart OK! The one after is of the lama

More sheep. The next few are of the tiger.

This one was of the giraffe, it was nice when I got there I started to draw but then the giraffe walked off to the pen area where we can't see them. =(

This one was of the Cheetah and it was hard to see them because of the tall grass they were laying down behind.

This last one is of the Elephant.

As for the Story Idea I haven't really come up with anything yet. The only thing I could come up with is my variation on the 'Little Red Riding' story, but just the initial encounter with the wolf part. Still working out the designs, will post them up later.

11 sec final eh er seconds?

Nuts I couldn't make the deadline, I needed so much more. I tried throwing what I had into premiere but I still came out short and while I was editing the time ran out and I miss the dead line. I wasn't able to go to the lab and use the pencil test machine but I suspect there would be a bunch of others there trying to get it in. So I did the alternative since here at my lab there are digital cameras and a tripod. But after I shot all the frames, it seems I had to re size them in photoshop but lucky for me I discover that I can open the frames as a sequence and re-size the entire thing and exported as a quicktime. But when I put it in to premiere with the dialogue it seems the beginning was slightly off and the timing of somethings where off, but the ending was totally off and left huge gaps. I'll bring what i have on monday since for some reason the file is over 44mb and it won't fit on the UH server.

OH and I almost forgot to post the drawing:

OK I kept trying to see if I could bring the size down but in order to bring the file size down I had to sacrifice quality of the video.

11sec rough 1st past

OK this is a very rough 1st past at this and for some reason after effects would not let me edit it and listen to the audio at the same time so I had to do it in premiere and that was a bit trouble since it has been a long time since I used premiere. Anyways some of the drawings didn't come out so clear because the lines aren't as dark and also some I only drew the body and not the head. I hope it looks OK.

11 sec

OK here what I got so far for the 11 sec thing, I also figured out why my files was coming out so big, it wasn't the compression but the export. Turns out the default setting was on 'millions of colors' and that makes the file big 'cuz it preserves space for color that's not there so I switch to the gray scale 256 but that only bought it down to 19mb so I had to export another time and set it at 16 and that really brought it down to little over 7 mb. I wonder if I should make it 8bit gray scale. Anyways the funny thing while I was working on this I was trying to figure out how to draw the hat at the angle being shown and it took me a few minutes before I realize I was wear a hat at the time and could have used that to reference it. Big Duh!!

Here's the posting for the drawings.
